WET - Version 1.69 F PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY! COMMON PROBLEMS COULD BE AVOIDED!! Latest informations about WET-The Sexy Empire: Contents: ========= A).....................Known problems when using WET B).....................Questions and answers in case of problems C).....................List of bugfixes A) KNOWN PROBLEMS ==================== 1. If you are using Internet Explorer 4.0 Beta on your system, WET will run unstable and videos entirely won´t run. Solution: Completely remove Internet Explorer 4.0. 2. By using an ATI-Mach 64 graphic-card you get -under some circumstances- problems in displaying the WET HiColor graphics. In this case ask your supplier for newer 100 % compatible DirectX 3.0 drivers. 3. If your graphics chipset contains a S3 Virge 3D-acceleration chip you might get problems in playing videos. If your system hangs after playing a video (fullscreen or window) please open the options menu (press F2) and toggle the video size to another size. In most cases one of the three sizes did work. 4. If you want to uninstall WET, make sure to have the WET-CD in your CD-ROM drive. 5. If you´d like to remove ActiveMovie please follow this steps: 1.) Open your start menu and select Settings - Control Panel - ADD/REMOVE SOFTWARE 2.) Choose Microsoft ActiveMovie. 3.) Press the button Add/Remove 4.) ActiveMovie will be removed. 6.) If you have problems when playing videos and you´re not able to fix them in using another video size, you´re best to do the following: -Open a DOS-Window. -Change to the harddisk and directory in which WET was installed. -Type wet -novideo and press enter. This completely disables to play videos. 7.) If you receive a Windows-Bluescreen "Exception at..." when you start Wet, in most cases it is caused on systems using Soundblaster AWE 64. This exception is a result of not DirectX 3.0 compatible sounddriver. If you have such an error you can proof this, in completely deactivating your wave sound. This is done with the following steps: -Open your start menu. -Select Settings -> Control Panel -> Multimedia -> Advanced -Double click on AudioDevices -Double click on the popped up driver name -Select the radio button "Do not use audio features on this device" -Click Apply/OK and restart your system -When starting you shouldn´t hear any Windows starting noise.. -Start WET If it runs properly without sound, you can be sure it´s the sound driver. So you´ve to get a 100 % compatible DirectX 3.0 driver. This problem may occur on other soundcards, too. 8.) If your system hangs when you try to open a dialog in the following locations: -Level 1 Pawnstore -Level 2 Movie Planning Take a look if your graphics card contains a Tseng Labs ET4000 chipset. This error occured oftenly when using the driver "Tseng Labs ET4000 PCI". After installing another compatible (in most cases older) driver, everything worked correct.
